For a Taste of Jacques Genin Caramels and More…

Bonjour!

Heading to Paris tomorrow and taking orders for macarons, chocolates, pastries (basically anything and everything, haha) from pâtisseries like Jacques Genin, Gerard Mulot, La Pâtisserie des Rêves, Sadaharu Aoki, Pierre Hermé, Ladurée etc etc.

The assorted caramels from Jacques Genin are a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Such an intense taste in a small smooth package! Flavours range from passion fruit mango (my favourite) and vanilla to fresh ginger and nutty pistachio.

Sold by weight, these don’t come cheap, but worth every cent, imo.

And on my last trip, I was insane enough to bring back a couple of vanilla tarts from Pierre Hermé! Thankfully, they travel beautifully : )

Last Minute Macarons Spree!

Hello, everyone!

I’ve just came back from London early this morning and will be heading back again the day after tomorrow, yay me.

For those of you who didn’t manage to get the macarons from Pierre Hermé the previous time, fret not cuz I’m doing another spree this time, albeit a very last minute one.

Spring has finally arrived in London and Pierre Hermé has launched a new collection to celebrate the season. A pleasant surprise that was when I went to the boutique a couple of days ago. Bright and cheery, the latest flavours include Mosaic (pistachio, Morello cherries, cinnamon), Eden (peach, saffron, apricot), Métissé (orange, carrot, cinnamon), Menthe Fraîche (fresh mint), Infiniment Vanille (vanilla), Plenitude (chocolate, caramel) etc etc. Plus, for the month of April, as part of the “Les Jardins“ series, there’s a special limited edition flavour called Macaron Jardin Secret, a trio of rose, vanilla and clove. Does that sound intriguing or what?

On a side note, I’m extremely pleased that this batch arrived safely back in Singapore looking perfect and absolutely gorgeous! Happy max~

Macarons Spree Round 3~!

A big thank you to those who participated in the last spree from Paris! Glad you guys enjoyed the macarons as much as I did.

For Round 3 spree, it will be from London and I’m taking orders for both Pierre Hermé and Ladurée as I’ve been receiving emails to bring back Ladurée’s macarons as well.

Ladurée is not my favourite but since macarons are personal, to each his own : )

As for Pierre Hermé, the elusive white truffle macaron was actually available while I was in Paris but unfortunately, the staff die-die refused to put them in the same box as the other macarons since the flavour is too intense. A matter of macaron principle, I suppose. Anyway, if you want to get your hands on the incredible truffle macarons, you have to get a box of 12. An easy feat to finish them all.. Or share the love! It’s Christmas season, haha.

Other fabulous favours I tried last month in Paris include:

Americano Pamplemousse (grapefruit, campari),
Caraquillo (chocolate, coffee, aniseed ganache),
Infiniment Chocolat Porcelana (pure origin Venezuela Porcelana dark chocolate),
Mahogany (salted butter caramel, coconut, mango compote),
Marron Glacé (chestnut, my favourite!), and
Tempo (lime, pepper, raspberry), a flavour created exclusively for Galeries Lafayette.

Assorted pralines from Pierre Hermé are also available! I had a request to bring back a box and it travelled beautifully. Let me know if you want one too!

Round 2 Spree for Pierre Hermé’s Macarons!

I’m bringing Pierre Hermé’s macarons again, from Paris this time!

 The last time I brought these back with minimal damage (look at the pic below), it was summer and the new flavours include licorice & violet, mint & sweet peas, asaparagus & hazelnut oil and the not-so-new ones were olive oil & vanilla, jasmine flower & tea, pistachio and carrot, orange & cinnamon.

Since it’s fall-turning-winter this time, I think there are going to be a few seasonal flavours different from the ones stated above. I’m praying for the killer white truffle flavour! Anyway, I’m pretty sure the regulars will still be around, i.e. milk chocolate & passion fruit, pure Venezuela dark chocolate, salted-butter caramel and rose.

So, if you are interested in getting a box or two (or anything else from Paris), email me now! I’m only taking limited orders so this is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spree for Pierre Hermé’s macarons~

It’s been 2 months since I last went to London and oh, how I miss her so.

I’ll be heading there again this weekend (finally, yay!) and I’m really excited to get my hands on the summer collection of Pierre Hermé’s macarons! I’m hoping that there’s going to be many new flavours this time since I’ve tried all the macarons from the previous season..

Anyway, I’ve received emails asking me to organise a spree for my favourite macarons so here goes!

2 months ago, I had a few private requests to bring back some boxes of macarons so I treated that as a pilot test and brought back 3 boxes. Surprisingly, only a couple was slightly “damaged” (as you can see from the pics); the rest was in rather good condition. I’ll do my best to protect the little fragile darlings but perfect macarons are NOT a guarantee and the risk of crushed macarons is a risk you have to be willing to take if you choose to place an order with me. Also, don’t expect the exact same taste and texture since there’s bound to some changes due to air pressure etc. Feedback was favourable though so I think it’s still gonna taste great, haha.

Since it’s a chore to transport them all the way from London to Singapore, I’m only taking limited orders so this is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Quick Update :)

Hello!
