Breakfast-loving people rejoice, brunch is no longer restricted to solely weekends’ indulgences at Kookaburra. Koo-what, you say? According to Wiki, kookaburras are “terrestrial kingfishers native to Australia and New Guinea“. Sister (or brother?) of Late Plate, Kookaburra’s menu offers all-day breakfast items alongside Aussie-inspired main courses for lunch and dinner.
Eggs ben with smoked salmon, exactly what I had at Late Plate a couple of months ago. Except that the poached eggs were on rosemary and kalamata olive scones this time instead of garlic rye bread. Still consistently good!
Can’t remember the name of this dish, but it looked so wonderfully hearty. All the usual breakfast suspects on a plate, from scrambled eggs and sausages to sautéed mushrooms and potato croquettes!
