I can understand why Nam Nam Noodle Bar is so popular. It’s good, it’s cheap, and it’s by the (tested and proven) Les Amis Group.
If I’m not a pescetarian who happens to not like noodles and white bread, I’ll be a regular. But I am who I am, which means there’s nothing much I fancy here.
The southern spring rolls were so bad that I decided to just picked it apart and ate the prawns. The rice paper was tough and unpleasantly chewy, making the word “fresh” on the menu a joke. And there’s no egg in sight, another misrepresentation by the menu.
Ever since my first deliciously pseudo avocado salmon banh mi at Pact, I’ve been harbouring a bit of a secret crush on the Vietnamese-style submarine sandwich. And it’s here at Nam Nam that I discovered that I don’t like the real thing; too much bread, too little fillings, taste was quite nice though. And I wish there’s more options for pescetarians as it’s only either fish cakes (which I hate, ya I’m fussy I know haha) or vegetarian, zzz. Give me Pact’s any day!

I agree too that the rice rolls were horrible. Never had a rice roll where the skin was beyong chewable. Will not go back again since the pho were forgettable and the queue is ridiculous.
that’s a lot of bread for a sandwich =( boo!
i so agree how much of a fail the southern rolls are. utter disappointment.
