This is Rue Bonaparte, a street in the 6th arrondissement I’ll walk down at least twice on every trip to Paris.
Because my favourite Pierre Hermé is here!
72 Rue Bonaparte, Paris
You may only think of macarons, cakes and pastries when Pierre Hermé comes to mind, but he’s definitely more than that.
I want to show you his special ispahan croissant today!
Doesn’t it have that please-eat-me-NOW look?
Buttery and flaky exterior covered with candied rose petals, filled with a stunning rose-almond pâte.
A beautiful piece of edible art, this is.
Never before have I seen such a sophisticated bandung-style viennoiserie! And guess what, being more than 10 times bigger in size, it’s cheaper than a macaron! Cheap thrill, haha.
I love this too! It gets snapped off the shelves really quickly.
ya agree with miss oysterdiaries, really need to snatch it fast if not its often sold out before 12PM i wonder why they don’t supply more like they do for ispahan
and if you can read the signboard on the right side, its marked ‘please kindly visit Kiehl’s because you are standing(also disturbing) in front of their shop while you are queuing for ispahan(joking)!
Haha, but seriously, what’s that sign saying??
I went in the afternoon both times and thankfully, there’s still some precious croissants left! What’s unavailable was the kugelhopf 😦 Wanted to try the kouign amann with blueberry jam too but that’s a summer pastry, oh well.
yah it’s what the sign saying just the last word ispahan is kidding ^^. I just supposed everyone whos taking queue is craving for same thing. 😉
I want to try PH’s infiniment vanille tart! Saw bakerzin’s vanilla tart that looked like a roughed up version of PH’s. Couldn’t help but roll my eyes ahaha.
I always found infiniment vanille tart/entremet/other variation too plain compare to his other works but undoubtedly infiniment vanille is one of his signature highlight pastry ^^!
