Easties looking for another brunch place to explore, check out Fresh Fruits Labs (FFL)! The menu is supposedly specially designed and handcrafted to incorporate a fruity element in many of the dishes, such as the uniquely weird bacon-wrapped pineapple featured in the “messy breakfast“, FFL’s version of the classic big breakfast. My eggs florentine with a side salad and cubes of watermelon has a less successful fruity theme though. That aside, we do like FFL as the food is colorfully presented, affordable and satisfying!
Only minor gripe is the lack of service as they didn’t have enough staff on the day we visited. Two waitresses to take orders, serve, handle ad hoc requests, and clear tables were definitely not sufficient to deal with a full house! K asked me “are we going to eat with our hands?” when our cutleries took ages to come haha. The neighbouring table had it worse – orders were forgotten (tsk tsk) and they were really pissed. Oh well…
